Nature is both fascinating, beautiful, and can be extreme. The Cymothoa exigua is one creature that is just extraordinarily queer looking. Don't get me wrong, I love creatures both great and small but some just give me the willies. I have to agree to the author that beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder. Look at the creature closely...
Although I can appreciate the intricacy of the design of this creature, I think it would look more appealing to humans, if it didn't have the two tusk-like appendages. However, I'm sure they are a necessary part of this animal's survival makeup.
